An accident that was not your fault can leave you with a damaged car, disrupted plans and a lot of administration. Claiming for your repairs on your own comprehensive policy is one option. With Elite Finish accident management, we pursue the repair claim against the at-fault party and arrange quality repairs through our approved bodyshop partner network, together with a comparable replacement vehicle where needed. These arrangements are subject to claim assessment, eligibility, vehicle availability and agreed terms.
For drivers in Glasgow and across our service areas in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland, the right route depends on the evidence, whether liability is accepted, your transport needs and the agreements offered. Here are the potential benefits of arranging a non-fault claim outside your own motor policy.
1. No excess to pay with Elite Finish
When you claim for repairs through your own policy, an excess may be payable under its terms. Even after a non-fault accident, recovering that excess can be a separate step.
For non-fault claims accepted by Elite Finish, we never charge you an excess. You pay us £0.00. All costs are charged to the at-fault insurer.
2. Quality repairs through our approved bodyshop partners
Your car. Your choice of repairer. You can ask for Elite Finish instead of the repairer suggested by your insurer. Tell your insurer that Elite Finish is your preferred repairer, then speak to us about arranging your insurance repair.
A claim is about more than an estimate. You may want to discuss the repairer, assessment process, paintwork, parts, collection arrangements and how updates will be provided.
Elite Finish coordinates repairs through our approved bodyshop partner network, with a focus on repair quality and a carefully finished result. We can discuss the assessment, proposed work and repair arrangements before you agree. Ask what guarantee applies and how any additional damage found during repairs will be handled.

3. Trusted hire support with costs kept in focus
Our trusted hire partner is Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Enterprise has pricing agreements with third-party insurers which, where applicable, help keep hire costs under control. Using agreed rates can reduce disputes over hire charges and support our aim of settling claims promptly. Vehicle availability, the applicable rate and the terms of hire are confirmed for each case.
If your vehicle is unusable or undergoing repairs, suitable replacement transport can make a practical difference. A courtesy car under a policy and a separately arranged hire vehicle are different products, with different terms and availability.
Our accident management service arranges a comparable replacement vehicle where needed, subject to eligibility and availability. Tell us how you use your car, whether another suitable vehicle is available and any essential requirements so these can be considered. Comparable does not necessarily mean the identical make and model; the vehicle and hire terms will be confirmed before you agree.
If credit hire is offered, read the daily rate, hire period, recovery conditions and your responsibilities. A hire agreement is in your name, and disputed liability or charges can create a risk of personal payment.
4. One point of contact can reduce the administration
Recovery, a damage assessment, repair updates and replacement transport can involve several organisations. An accident management service can help coordinate the parts of the process it has agreed to handle, giving you a clearer contact for progress and questions.
Ask what is included from the outset. Keep photographs, witness details, correspondence, invoices and receipts so the circumstances and any losses can be evidenced.
5. Your existing no-claims bonus can remain unaffected
Where your insurer makes no payment and receives no claim against you, your existing no-claims bonus should remain unaffected. The repair claim is pursued against the at-fault party rather than your own comprehensive policy, helping keep the repair payment outside your insurance cover.
This is not an unconditional guarantee. A claim from the other driver, disputed liability or your insurer becoming involved in paying a claim can change the position. Your insurer applies the policy terms. Keeping your no-claims bonus does not guarantee that your renewal premium will remain the same.
6. Scottish injury claims: keep 100% of your compensation
If you were injured in an accident that was not your fault, Elite Finish can put you in touch with our partner solicitors to discuss a personal injury claim.
Our partner solicitors guarantee that you keep 100% of your compensation on Scottish injury claims they accept under this offer. They do not deduct a success fee from your compensation under that arrangement. The solicitor will assess your claim and confirm the offer and funding terms in writing before you proceed.
Some solicitors use success fee agreements that deduct a percentage of compensation. In Scotland, the maximum success fee for personal injury claims is 20% of the first £100,000, 10% of the next £400,000 and 2.5% above £500,000. Those caps include VAT; they are maximum limits, rather than fees every solicitor charges.
For example, a 20% success fee on £10,000 of compensation would mean a £2,000 deduction. Under our partner solicitors’ 100% compensation offer, you would retain the full £10,000 compensation award.
This offer relates to Scottish injury claims accepted under the partner solicitor’s terms. It is a guarantee about retaining compensation, not a guarantee that a claim will succeed or achieve a particular amount. Ask us about a Scottish injury claim when discussing your accident.
